Review: Hana Titanium Flat Iron 1.5 "

I was contacted recently by the great people at Misikko.com to be given the opportunity to test and review the Hana Titanium Flat Iron 1.5". I received my beautifully adorned package from Misikko about two weeks ago and tried it out a few times before giving my honest opinion. Misikko is a company that carries a range of hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons, etc. When my package came in the mail I was overly excited and the packaging was amazing! I love great packaging!

Here it is....

In the package I received the flat Iron along with some extra goodies such as the Hana Hair Shine Thermal Protectant, a round brush, Heat prood silicone mat and much more.

I have used this iron at least four times so far and I love it. I like that it is 1.5" which made it easier and faster for me to straighten my hair. My hair came out great smooth, shiny, and looked healthy. My cousin also tested it out and loved the turn out.

Pros:

1.5" plate makes your straightening time less consuming

Leaves hair looking healthy and shiny

Glides through hair smoothly without getting caught by strays

The iron has two grooves on each side of its handle which makes it comfortable to grip

Multiple heat settings ranging from 140 - 450

Include heat proof storage pouch

Silicone mat included which prevent heat damage to surfaces

Cons:

Price is quite expensive $239.99 but you can get it on sale here at Misikko.com for $174.99

Overall I am so far loving this flat iron and I also forgot to mention you can style your hair with this flat iron doing flips and soft curls.

8 yrs ago today God called upon one of his Angels, My Dad, My hero, My everything. The greatest man ever who had a big influence on my life. His absence has left me full of endless days and the pain is like no other, but I do know he is here with me in spirit and has blessed me in so many ways. Everything I did and all that I am, is a result of his loving & guiding presence.

Losing a loved one is one of the hardest things to have to go through in life. All of you may not know but I was only 15 years old when my Dad passed unexpectedly from a Brain Aneurysm on March 4, 2003. I did not want to accept the fact that I would be living the rest of my life without the man who has kept me up on my feet from birth. The worst of it was that he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of my niece who would be born just three months after his passing. :( but everything my niece is today, is definitely my Dad. She has his funny personality, his silly faces, just everything. I truly believe he lives through her and she knows that her Grandfather was a Great Man, because my family and I love to keep his memory alive. Though it's been 8 years since he has passed I still hurt and my pain is just a reflection of how much I loved him. I can go on and on to let you all know how Great My Dad was but it would take years to write that and it would become a book.

Papi, I miss you so much. Your hugs. Your Kisses. Your 'I love yous'. Your support.

One thing I know for sure is that no matter what I will always be Daddy's Little Girl.

Hey Everyone!

As of late, I have been trying to keep up with my natural nails. I have a ton of polishes that were used to sitting around just collecting dust. I remember when I picked up this polish, I knew I just had to have it. I can rave about this polish all day. It's definitely one of my favorites that I own. It is a great cornflower like blue color, wearable during Spring and Summer. Heck for me I would wear it all year round.

I applied two coats and Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat (which I love and highly recommend). This polish was quite easy to work with and has great staying power. If you didn't see my previous post Rated R, this polish inspired me to do the look.

Product Highlight: Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge

Notice my new blog make over lol. Well make under...I like it simple like this so I decided to keep it like this for a while.

Hey!!! I just quickly wanted to share with you my thoughts on the Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge. It is as stated by others the Beauty Blender Knockoff. I myself do not currently own a Beauty Blender but definitely plan on purchasing it. I went into Target a few weeks ago and saw this and immediately put it in my cart. I've been using it since and can honestly say it has some pros and cons but I quite like the airbrush finish it gives me. This blending sponge is only $9.99 as opposed to the Beauty Blender which costs $19.99. The Beauty Blender is more of an egg shaped sponge and I like the fact that the Sonia Kashuk has a groove in the middle which allows you to get a better grip of the sponge.

To use this sponge you must wet the sponge, wring out the excess water and then apply your foundation and/or concealer. I did notice that I had to use a lot more product as the sponge soaks up the foundation. Also, I can't seem to find a way to get it spotless clean almost like new. To clean it I used baby Shampoo but some of the foundation still appears visible. Do any of you that have used this sponge have any suggestions on this?

Pros:

Inexpensive price $9.99
Gives a great natural looking finish
Blends really well with effortless application
Pointed tip allows for you to get into small areas around the face and under the eyes

Cons:

Gives off a rubber smell when you clean it
Very difficult to rid of the foundation appearance even after cleaning with baby shampoo
Soaks up foundation too quickly which requires more foundation to be used
Only Available at Target or online

I hope you beauties found this review helpful. Overall I think it's a great product and believe that it's worth a try. Remember: What may work for me may not work for you, this is soley my opinion on this product so, please research a little more before purchase :).

NOTD: Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet

Hey Hey Hey! :) I wanted to quickly share with you all my current polish that I am loving! It is Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet. I finally found the perfect mint shade of polish in my opinion. I mean I do like China Glaze Re-fresh but the application is a bit frustrating. This polish is very opaque and went on smoothly, the downside would be that it runs into the cuticles which makes it a little difficult to clean up. So please disregard my messy application. I applied two coats and one clear coat. This bad boy only cost $2.99 at the local drugstore.

Hope you guys are enjoying your new year! Up north the weather is insane lots of snow and freezing cold! :-/ Definitely not my preference.

I'm sorry that I've been quite distant from blogging. I must admit I've been a horrible blogger and have neglected you. The holidays really kept me occupied and I could not find the energy to blog or anything. To think I don't have kids of my own yet. My fiance and I do have kids in the family that we spoil. I love the holiday season there is no better gift then being with yourfamily and using that extra time to bond. My home was filled with smiles :).

As most typical Puerto Rican Families for New Years we tend to get crazy and I mean my family loves to Party lol. We had a ball celebrating together. I will leave you guys with a few photos and soon I should be posting again.

She is from Jersey but then relocated to Miami to further in her career. Recently she moved back to Jersey for a little to continue some schooling. Her success as a tattooist continues to grow as she never loses her faith in knowing anything is possible and she continues to strive to reach her goals. She is such an inspiration to many people and her artwork is ah-may-zing!

Here's one of the looks I did this past weekend on a client and we were on such a time crunch. We decided to go with a quick black Smokey eye. I love the way this turned out her skin tone compliments this look great. I couldn't get a pic with her eyes open shame on me but trust me she looked absolutely amazing! Super Hot! Also, my cam settings were all screwed up the first pic came out a little dark not so much but it makes a difference to me. I'm so picky with these things :).

Hey!!!

So I was recently browsing the MAC Cosmetics website and decided to browse their foundations. I am not a huge fan of their foundations because I have dry skin and their foundations just didn't do much for me. Also, I love medium to full coverage but their formulas were a little too much on the thick side.

I came across the Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation which MAC describes as:

a creamy, luxurious, gel-based foundation that provides medium buildable to high coverage with a natural satin finish. Hydrating, instantly revitalizes the skin while keeping it looking smooth, soft and plush. Long-wearing, water-resistant.

Immediately I decided why not give it a try and let me tell you this has got to be one of my current favorite foundations. It is exactly what I have been looking for.

I love the packaging. It's travel friendly and light.

The squeezable tube makes it easy to get just the right amount of product without having an excess amount compared to many other foundation packaging.

You can clearly see that it is definitely a gel-like formula which provides moisture and hydrates the skin. It provides a smooth flawless finish without coming off looking cakey or feeling heavy.

My only con about this foundation is that after 6 hours or so you will definitely need to touch up or re-apply. Also, I would not recommend this for people with oily skin as it is a hydrating foundation meant for dry skin.

Hola!... I decided to check out the MAC Venomous Villains Collection on the website and purchased only a few things. There was more on my list but the MAC website was acting all types of crazy by the time it allowed me to check out some items sold out! oh well more money in my pocket lol.

This collection had lots of items to choose from the only downside is everyone fell in love with the same items I loved lol :) So alot of the items from this collection sold out online. I try to stay away from my local MAC store because I always tend to go over board there. Out of these items I am in love with the Heartless lippie all the others are just ehhhhh. Hey Dolls!

I'm so sorry for the lack of posts. I haven't been myself lately and so much has been going on. I have actually felt like I have hit rock bottom with all this stress. I am usually a positive thinker and love to give myself and others insight to uplift the mind especially when things just feel out of place. I won't get into much detail because I like to be reserved about a few things involving my personal life. Some may know if you follow me on Twitter I was involved in what I call a horrific car accident with my Fiance. It was early Sunday morning and we were on our way home from dropping my cousin off and my car's tire blew out causing me to lose control of the car. I panicked and did not know how to control it. My car went off to the opposite side of the road, hit a barrier, went over two high curbs before coming to a complete stop. The car was literally inches away from hitting a concrete wall head on. I titled this post truly blessed because I walked away from this collision with just minor pain, no scratches, bruises, or severe injury. My Fiance on the other hand was badly bruised and had an extensive amount of scratches on his face. The airbags did not deploy on the passenger side which caused his injury. This accident could have ended tragic if one we did not have our seat belts on, and two if the vehicle would have crashed into the concrete wall. We were in total shock and still are. At the time of the accident my fiance was asleep and woke up in the middle of this nightmare. Thank God we are both okay and no one was severely hurt. After coming home we held each other so tight that night it was definitely an eye-opener. No matter what you are going through always cherish all the moments especially with your loved ones because sometimes you never know. Know that we are all blessed. Please everyone be sure to strap on that seatbelt before taking off in a vehicle. Whether you are the driver or passenger please put it on and remember that life is a precious thing.

Hey everyone! This labor day weekend I am heading down to PA. My Fiance and I rented a Lake House for the weekend with a bunch of friends. This will be part two of last year lol we had so much fun and i can't wait to head down there. We are suppose to be hit with Hurricane Earl which sucks I am hoping that it doesn't ruin our driving down there. ughh! Anyway since I will be gone this weekend I want to get a post or two up so here is one :).

I'm not much into painting my nails I mean I love when they are painted but hate painting them :). I always find myself purchasing polishes and never using them or not using them as often as I should. Shame on me! I know. The other day I purchase this Orly nail polish in Terracotta and fell in love with the color. It's a beautiful bright color and looks pinky orangey with a hint of red if that makes sense, it all depends on the lighting the color tends to look very different. I found that it was pretty easy to apply. It was creamy and not as difficult as much creamy polishes to apply. In the swatch below I applied no base, two coats or the polish, and a top coat. One coat alone was good enough but I did two to give exact color payoff as the bottle. I must say Orly polishes have really impressed me and I see myself purchasing alot more soon :)

Updated: Adesign Makeup Brush Review

Updated: I have decided to give a more in depth review on these brushes because my first review wasn't so much into detail and I have been using these brushes for a good four months now. I feel I know a lot more about them and how they work!

So excited that I made the decision to purchase these brushes. I have used most of the brushes in the set and decided I should give you guys a review on them :). I needed more brushes to add to my kit so I researched and fell across Adesign products. I purchased these brushes myself so this review is based on my honest opinion. So on to the review.

This XL Powder brush is huge and is awesome very soft! Picks up product great and is awesome for the face neck etc! Covers large areas fast and easy. I use this brush a lot to apply translucent loose powder or an all over bronzer! It truly gets the job done 1,2,3! No shedding, no dye when washed.

The powder brush is dense and round but it isn't to dense, still making the brush very soft. It is described as an all-purpose powder brush and I must say the website describes it well! I tend to pick this brush up to apply blush, bronzer, my MAC mineralize skin finish. I experienced very minimal shedding when washing this brush. Just for the first two washes and it has not happened since. Also when washing this brush you will notice the dye tends to come out but nothing major as it is expected with black haired brushes. I must say this by far is my favorite brush out of the whole set!

The cheek brush at first I found that it was too small for my liking but I didn't give it a chance now I reach for it more often. I used this one to apply blush on the cheeks, highlight certain areas on the face, and even to soften the look of contouring. No shedding, no dye when washed.

The angle cheek brush at first I was not a big fan. Why did I even think it was not a brush for me? It is now! I use this for contouring the cheeks. I thought I had to blend a lot at first but it was not the brush, it was the product being used. Now I find this one much easier to contour when using my NYX face powder for contouring. No shedding, no dye when washed.

So far the foundation brush is pretty good just like most foundation brushes similar. The only difference is that it is pretty small compared to others. But this one does help distribute the foundation evenly. I have also been using this brush to apply primer to the face. A great brush for such application.

I love the all over shadow brush! Reminds me of one of my fav MAC brushes the 227. I love a brush that can make application easy! I mainly use this as it states all over the lid & for highlighting.

The eye 1 brush is obviously a fluffy brush that I have used again for all over shadow and highlighting it's pretty good so far and works great for people with smaller lids. I have used this brush to apply eyeshadow under the lower lash line and to intensify the crease.

Eye 2 brush is a dense eyeshadow brush that I have been using to apply a base to the eyelid such as a paint pot or primer, and I have also used this apply eyeshadow under the lower lash line.

The eye 3 brush is a defining brush such as the MAC 212 which can be used to create more of a dramatic eye by cutting the crease, smuding eyeline to create a smokey effect on the lashline etc. I love this one a lot more than my MAC 212 as it is a lot softer.

The eye 5 brush is a liner brush. I have tried using this to apply gel liner but for me the application is a bit on the thick side. So I would only use this if I want the thick liner appearance it works great for that and the only other purpose that I use this brush would be for smudging liner. If you love dramatic liner then this is definitely a brush for you.

The medium concealer brush is another great brush in this set. It has worked well with my concealers and applys product smooth and evenly.

I love the small concealer brush! It is great for concealer smaller areas such as the inner corners of the eye and it is great with concealing blemishes.

The lip brush picks up the lip product great and helps apply product smoothly.

This groomer brush is double ended with the other end of the brush being and eyebrow brush. I use this one daily for the brows! Its my must have :). The eyebrow brush is perfect to fill in and get the look you want for your brows. the groomer end is awesome too!

This set I found was one of my greatest investments It is awesome all around. These brushes are my life now I would hate to misplace/lose them! If you ladies are starting in the makeup industry or looking for some great brushes for your kit these are a must have in my book if you were to purchase similar brushes from MAC you would be spending nearly over $300! I have nothing against MAC brushes they are my faves too! Who doesn't love MAC? All I'm saying for $175 you get great quality professional brushes! Great Products and a Great Price! Why not? Scandalous Cosmetics Arabesque

I love when I make an order online. I'm such a kid overly excited anticipating the package to arrive! I ordered the Scandalous Cosmetics Arabesque Collection once I saw YouTube Beauty Priscilla's Video on the release of the collection. Check out her video HERE . I paid in total including shipping $43.00 for six amazing eye shadows, that is $7.17 each. I couldn't resist once I saw the intensity and color pay off the shadows provided.

I received the package today in the mail and ripped it open. I started swatching the eye shadows right away! All I can say is WOW! I'm so happy I made this purchase without hesitation! The only thing which was a little disappointment nothing major is that the shadows do not have the colors of each listed on them but on the site it does tell you the names of the colors. This collection is inspired by the Arab world and the colors are described as Sultry.

Lapis.Lazuli is a beautiful vibrant blue it reminded me of Electric Eel from MAC but once I swatched it, It was no where comparable. This eyeshadow is so much more beautiful. The pigmentation almost knocked me off my feet! Gorgeous! **Picks Jaw up from the floor** lol

Layli is a beautiful coral orange color with a little sheen. Super Pretty and pigmented!

Arabesque is such a wonderful purple color. As some of you may know I am very much a sucker for purple ;) and this one is approved!

101Nights is a color that has my heart! I do not have one shadow similar to this one and it's a vibrant pink with I would say a little hint of coral depending on the lighting ;) SCANDALOUS!

Harem is a highlight color eyeshadow super pigmented one touch goes a long way!

Majnum is as you can see a bronzy golden color. I can not wait to you this one. I've been reaching for my golden colors alot lately!

Ladies trust me these eyeshadows are beautiful and I can tell they will be easy to blend!

Second post today! I tend to get blog lazy but I try not to I swear! :) My friend Elissa's birthday was last week and she celebrated over the weekend. I received a text from her after she partied that night and it stated specifically "Friend!!! I never looked so Fab throwing up in my life" Now I say she was one happy client! Lol she is too funny. I did this look on my cousin's girlfriend Karen for their three year anniversary. She is definitely a beauty and I loved making her feel more Fab than she is already! I was in total shock by the amount of color pay off these two lipsticks gave being that you don't have to dig deep in your pocket and pay anywhere from $14-$30 for a lipstick. These bad boys were only $4.99 at my local drugstore.

This First lippie is Milani Rose Hip a gorgeous bright fuschia color. It is very pigmented and I would say lasted me about a good 4 hours and then needed a touch up but I did not mind at all. It is a creamy texture and you don't have to put tons of it on. Great compliments all in all from other people!

The Milani Mandarina is the orange lippie I have never owned! Love at first sight ;). Basically I would say the exact same as I stated with the Rose Hip. Creamy texture and needed and touch up after about 4 hours!. Unbeatable Lippie!

I encourage you ladies to give it a try especially if your a fan of this trend!

I did not mention but my 23rd birthday was on June 28th. I did not do much compared to my past birthdays but I definitely was not in the mood to party. Anyway, so my fiance, myself, and some friends went to a comedy club in the city (NYC) and I had so much fun!... Drinks, laughter, and loved ones what more can I ask for?. My hubby kept asking me what I wanted for my birthday but for some reason I felt like had everything I ever wanted already. so I didn't ask for anything lol...Shocker! Well, he of course took me shopping and I purchased clothes and shoes. I love shoes what girl doesnt?! He also got me the iPhone4 and I love it! He does spoil me! <3>

First Aldo heels love their shoes! This is the first place I go to whenever I need shoes! I dont know why I just feel they are pretty good quality for the price.

I love these they are classy yet very sexy!

My new fave wedges!. I love the contrast between the gray, wooden platform, and gold accents.

I still dont know when I am going to wear these but they are high yet comfy! I know some of you probably worn higher heels than these but me not so much. For some reason in this picture they dont look so high.

Finally, I am obsessed with these booties with laces ;) from Asos.com. I was checking out Fashion-nerdic blogspot and she had these shoes in a couple her posts and they just stood out to me. I thought to myself these are a must have for me! They also match my Gucci handbag and this was not intentional at all I realized when I opened the package.

Finally!!! Yes I have been gone forever, slackin at it's best lol.

Well very good reason why I haven't had time for blogging. My mom had a total hip replacement on June 17 her second hip surgery this year and my hubby had his second hand surgery this year as well (long horror story). Therefore, I had to take on a lot of responsibilities in taking care of my loved ones! Thank God they are both doing well. It's just a matter of time in which everything should be back to normal, but I feel this year started off on the wrong foot. I also had eye surgery as I said in my previous posts which prevented me from wearing makeup. Ughh but my chalazion is still there WTF was the point of surgery if the damn thing has not gone fully away!!! FRUSTRATED! Anyway, I didn't care no more so I said the hell with it back to my makeup!

Hey Beauties! I just wanted to give you all a little update... I'm sorry for being M.I.A, I haven't done anything makeup related or looks on myself even in weeks! Remember I told you that I had a bump on my eye well I went to the eye doctor and I have a Chalazion (cyst inside eyelid) so tomorrow I am getting surgery to remove it! It's a quick procedure about 15 minutes but I will be awake ughhh discomfort on its way! I can't wear makeup for about a month! ;-( ... So this means that I will possibly just do reviews on products that I currently own! (any suggestions let me know) I want to update as much as possible I have just been blah blah blah... This is an exciting post :) ... Thanks to JoMakeMeBlush for awarding me with this award. Its a fun one in which u guys can find a little about me.

Random Fact #1: I have been with my love for 8 years and he proposed to me last February. We are currently in process of planning the wedding which is a lot of work! gives me a headache lol :). He is definitely the best thing that has happened to me! I still get little butterflies!... Here's the day he proposed in front of lots of family and friends!

(maybe i will do a post on how he did everything i don't want to bombard u all with pics now lol)

Random Fact #2: I had only one job since I started working. They treat me good and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. :-) I'm an Insurance Agent and have been there for 5 years going on 6!

Random Fact #3: I busted my chin open twice when I was younger. Once I fell in the bathtub and the second time I fell on the concrete. Both times I needed about 7 stitches! I was such a rebel as a child lol. I dont have a pic of the scar but it's very light!

Random Fact #4: I tend to get very sick alot! I have a very weak immune system (anemia) therefore stay away if ur sick cuz I will get it lol :-). I am sick of being sick!

Random Fact #5: When I was younger and people would ask what did I want to be when I grow up.. I replied a MERMAID! lmao The little Mermaid was my favorite movie and I thought living her life would be perfect even though she wanted to be a part of our world I wanted to be a part of hers haha!

I have always wanted Nars Schiap lipstick after seeing Kim Kardashian with it in a look done by Makeup Artist Troy Jensen. Everytime I go to Sephora to pick it up its sold out but I don't order online because I like to see things up close and personal lol. I love the all over shadow brush! Reminds me of one of my fav MAC brushes the 227. I love a brush that can make application easy! I mainly use this as it states all over the lid & for highlighting.

Eye 2 brush is a dense eyeshadow brush that I have been using to apply a base to the eyelid such as a paint pot or primer, and I have also used this apply eyeshadow under the lower lash line.

The medium concealer brush is another great brush in this set. It has worked well with my concealers and applys product smooth and evenly.

I love the small concealer brush! It is great for concealer smaller areas such as the inner corners of the eye and it is great with concealing blemishes.

The lip brush picks up the lip product great and helps apply product smoothly.

Here are a few pics of how I used the brushed on myself.

Hey Ladies! Ughh so I need your help!

I have been breaking out on the right side of my face oddly so! My skin is not acne prone its more of dry / normal skin. I do tend to get a little pimple here and there. I haven't changed anything in my skin care routine so I don't know why this happened. I am so annoyed by this! lol but I am trying to figure out what I can do to get rid of this! I was thinking of purchasing pro active. I have heard great reviews on it, I mean the breakout is not that bad but it's soooooo annoying and it's there!

So do any of you have any recommendations? Help me find my life Saver! :)
